Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant

Northern Gold Foods (USA) is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy and great tasting breakfast and snack products and we're looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant at our new facility in Junction City. We offer excellent benefits and a competitive wage.

This position requires that you be able to work independently and work as a team with good problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and you must be detailed oriented.

The following is a list of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts payable related work
• Process invoices into ERP system after reviewing necessary authorization and supporting documentation.
• Review invoices for reasonableness
• Post transactions to the ERP system
• Reconcile statements and other accounts
• Prepare 1099s
• Pay invoices by reviewing needs of the company and balancing payment terms.
• Balance accounts payable statements, general ledger accounts, aging, and un-invoiced receipts.

• Work with all vendors and create positive working relationships.
• Maintain AP filings system electronically
• Assist with month end closing and year end work
• Reconciling accounts as needed
• Maintain fixed assets and capital budget
• Provide general office support
• Assist with other projects as needed

Preferred Experience:

• College accounting education a plus
• Five years of related experience and/or training preferred
• Experience using technology to improve your work flow, such as Excel and Access a big plus
