Human Resource Generalist

Northern Gold Foods (USA) is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy and great tasting breakfast and snack products and we're looking for a Human Resource Generalist at our new facility in Junction City. We offer excellent benefits and a competitive wage.

This position requires that you have a bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of HR experience.

The following is a list of some of the Duties and Responsibilities:

Employee Relations, Recruitment & On-boarding

  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and procedures and resolving work-related problems.
  • Plan, organize, direct and coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of the organization.
  • Prepare necessary recruitment/ hiring documents, job descriptions and salary scales.
  • Conduct pre-employment screenings and interviews as well as exit- interviews.
  • Prepare reports to summarize HR metrics and report to Management team as requested.
  • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs
  • Assists with staff development and training activities.
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed, on personnel matters.
  • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.

Benefit Administration

  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and recreation programs.
  • Monitor employee eligibility for benefits.
  • Review benefits with employees during annual enrollment.
  • Communicates enrollment, cancellation or changes in accordance with plan document.

Performance Management

  • Manage and track all employee disciplinary action.
  • Coach, counsel and guide managers before the execution of employee disciplinary action.
  • Ensure proper documentation is issued on employees who are not meeting expectations.
  • Develops reviews and revises policies and procedures.

Compliance

  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining all employee files in conjunction with legal requirements.
  • Report, maintain and monitor all Worker's Compensation Case files; follow-up on open cases.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Exercises confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
