Inventory Control Specialist

Northern Gold Foods is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented person to join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity with a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy great tasting breakfast and snack food products.

The primary responsibility of this full-time position (Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm) is the hands-on tracking of inventory movements throughout the production facility. This position reports to the Accounting Department and works closely with our Warehouse, Production and Quality departments. This position spends approximately 70% of the day on the warehouse floor interacting with inventory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use company inventory management systems and scanners to perform end-of-run counts and cycle counts.
• Identify and resolve inventory issues using collaborative problem solving.
• Adhere to and manage inventory controls.
• Prepare items for destruction or disposal.
• Assist with analysis and other accounting or warehouse projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be detail-oriented, analytical and curious.
• Two or more years of warehouse, accounting, or inventory management experience.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good problem solving and time management skills.
• Dedication to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing needs and requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
