Process Technican

A leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy and great tasting breakfast and snack products is looking for a Process Technician at our new facility in Junction City.

SUMMARY: The Process Technician is responsible for driving operational efficiencies in our facility by developing a deep understanding of our process and equipment, and then translating that understanding into specific actions that can be executed by the entire work force. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Sets-up and runs production and packaging lines according to customer and product specifications
• Works with Production Operators to optimize process line efficiencies
• Performs inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment in accordance with operational instructions
• Trouble shoots any issues on the production line
• Documents process settings
• Trains production operators on optimal machine operation and process settings/adjustments
• Participates in the implementation of various improvement projects
• Completes all other duties as assigned by your Supervisor 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven track record working in a manufacturing environment
• Good technical knowledge of process flows and how to interpret manufacturing specifications
• Candidates must be self-motivated & able to multi-task.
• A team-oriented mindset; willingness and ability to take on other functional roles in the facility as needed
• Excellent English language skills - both written & verbal
• Required to work various shifts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Standing and walking up to 8 hours
• Able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs
• Able to push/pull more than 1,000 lbs. using pallet jack
• Able to continually bend, stoop, twist, use arms, wrists and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift
• Able to occasionally kneel, reach above the shoulder, work at heights and climb steps with ingredients weighing 25 to 50 lbs

WORK CONDITIONS

• Candidates must be willing to cross-training on various line positions
• Must be available to work overtime hours if needed
• Role may require job rotation

• Operation is located in a manufacturing facility and attached warehouse
