POSITION: Production Manager

REPORTS TO: Leadership Team

SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is overseeing all aspects of production at the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provides overall leadership, direction, and coordination for plant production.
• Reviews operational output measures (i.e. efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy, transactional accuracy), anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets.
• Identifies and implements strategies to continuously improve plant performance.
• Reviews safety, quality, internal inspections and operation programs and directs necessary changes and updates.
• Continuous improvement of training and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of equipment & process operations.
• Active participation in sanitation processes and training.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relevant supervisory experience in food ingredient processing with exposure to employee safety, food safety, food defense, purchasing, quality, project management or related field.
• Prefer demonstrated progressive leadership and management experience in a plant setting.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in process improvement management preferred.
• Analytical and problem-solution oriented mindset.
• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to comprehend and analyze numerical and statistical data to drive operational decisions and improvements.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and coaching staff.
• Ability to delegate and maximize staff utilization while enforcing standards and infusing pride in the organizational values and mission.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast pace, every changing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Navigate through the facility which includes climbing stairs and ladders.
• Ability to oversee production line on manufacturing floor for up to 10-12 hours.
• Operation is located in a manufacturing facility and attached warehouse
