Production Supervisor

Northern Gold Foods (USA) is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy and great tasting breakfast and snack products and we're looking for a Production Supervisor at our new facility in Junction City. We offer excellent benefits and a competitive wage.

This position requires that you be able to work independently and work as a team with good problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and you must be detailed oriented.

SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the coordination of production activities within the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Carrying out production objectives while meeting strict quality control standards, and ensuring a safe working environment.
• Production reporting: including efficiency, waste and time management.
• Able to generate reports from production reports.
• Employee training.
• Troubleshooting process issues and executing corrective actions.
• Liaising with other departments including Quality Control and Maintenance and warehouse.
• Supervise within a 24/7 operation, including nights and weekends.
• Other tasks as assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory or lead hand role in a manufacturing environment; preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in the food processing industry;
• Proficient in MS office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated superior decision making and problem-solving abilities;
• Strong record of working with tight deadlines and high volumes of product.
• Highly motivated and efficient while possessing both interpersonal and communication skills;
• Proven mechanical aptitude;
• Adept at working directly with production personnel.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP as it related to food production.
• Ability to speak, read and write English Fluently as it pertains to fulfilling job requirements.
• Ability to work in a team environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Standing and walking up to 8 hours
• Able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs.
• Able to continually bend, stoop, twist, use arms, wrists and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift
• Able to occasionally kneel, reach above the shoulder, work at heights and climb steps with ingredients weighing 25 to 50 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Candidates must be willing to cross-training on various line positions
• Role will require shift flexibility
• The workweek schedule is 8 hour shifts with 5-day work periods
• Must be available to work overtime hours if neededOperations are located in a manufacturing facility and attached warehouse.
