Accounting/Logistics Specialist

Northern Gold Foods is looking for a professional, motivated person to join our accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity with a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy great tasting breakfast and snack food products.

This is a full-time position that has primary responsibility tracking inventory movements throughout the production facility. The person in this position will report to the Plant Controller and work closely with the Warehouse and Quality Managers as well as Production and Office Personnel. This position will include a combination of warehouse and office/desk work with an expectation that a minimum of 50% of the day will be spent on the warehouse floor interacting with inventory. This position is Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00pm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use company inventory management systems and scanners to enter production data, perform cycle counts, locate, and track inventory.
• Ability to adhere to and manage inventory controls.
• Prepare items for destruction or disposal.

• Assist with analysis and other accounting or warehouse projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two or more years of accounting, warehouse, or inventory management experience.
• Demonstrated strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically in Excel utilizing pivot tables and formulas.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good problem solving and time management skills.
• Dedication to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing needs and requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
